Navarra is worth visiting for its historical surroundings. Nevertheless, if you combine your visits to its old castles with wine degustation, you will fall in love with the region forever.
The wine route of Navarra is designed for enthusiastic people who enjoy their life. You will not miss anything when you explore these places: vineyards, medieval cities, wineries, bars, restaurants, farms, monasteries, wine museums and endless choice of different activities.
Although the production of local wine was in the background for a long time, Navarra has 13% of vineyards of the Qualified Denomination of Origin Rioja, while its own Denomination of Origin covers about 41,000 hectares.

Arínzano Property, an impressive winery, architectural jewel and a protected space that forms a rich natural habitat is situated in the heart of Navarra. We invite you to experience a close connection that unites land, time and human work with the quality of their wines.

Julien Schell, Responsible for Tourism, Direct Sales and Property Marketing of Arínzano, brings us this environmental paradise first-hand:

What geographical and geological conditions do the vineyards have?

The farm is located on an imaginary axis between Bordeaux and La Rioja, halfway between Pamplona and Logroño. Its exceptional location – at the foot of the Pyrenees, on the two banks of the river Ega – regulates temperatures and creates a peculiar microclimate. At the same time, it offers slopes in all directions and all types of soil that a wine producer can only dream of.

What recognition does Arínzano have?

It is the first winery in the North to have obtained the denomination of a Region, the highest wine rating, superior to the Qualified Denomination of Origin, thus joining the 16 most prestigious wineries in Spain.

What history do these lands have?

Property of Arínzano has of a wonderful cultural context, with almost a thousand years of history. It is curious that the buildings of the sixteenth, eighteenth and nineteenth centuries coexist with a modern winery, the result of the work of the renowned architect Rafael Moneo.

Do you carry out a sustainable viticulture?

We are convinced that it is the natural environment itself that makes our wines so special. We greatly appreciate the privileges of this treasure of nature and history makes us feel a deep gratitude and a great commitment to the preservation of the environment. Respecting an artisan spirit, always looking for the most sustainable methods, both in viticulture and in our winemaking techniques, we give every day the best of us so that our wines are the most faithful expression of this exceptional heritage.
