Happy Dom family stories: where trust grows with children

When do parents know they've found the place for their child? A place where the atmosphere is not just safe, but truly warm. Where each child’s rhythm is respected, their native language and culture are embraced, and where gentle integration into a new environment is carefully supported. For many families, that place has been Happy Dom — a center where children are allowed to be themselves, where educators act as guides, and the environment becomes a source of inspiration and confidence. These families are now part of the Happy Dom community — and they’re sharing their personal stories of how their children’s lives (and their own) have transformed since making that choice.

Story 1. «Adaptation without tears — and smiles every day»

Our son is about to turn five, and Happy Dom has become his first truly positive experience in a preschool setting. Before this, we’d tried a few other places — but nothing worked. After just a day or two, he would resist going back, cry, or get sick almost immediately. When someone recommended Happy Dom, we were still nervous. How would he adapt? Would he connect with the other children? Would he handle the new rhythm and daily structure? To our surprise, the adaptation process was gentle, quick, and natural — no stress, no tears, and completely on his terms. The educators supported him with care every step of the way, creating a strong sense of safety. He soon felt like part of the group. Now he can’t wait to get to school. He greets the teachers with a smile and joins group activities with ease.

One of the things we value most about Happy Dom is the variety of creative and engaging activities. He paints, sculpts, plays music, experiments with materials, even learns chess — and every day he comes home with something unique. These aren’t just tasks — they’re a genuine source of inspiration. The ideas are always creative, original, and thoughtfully designed. It’s clear that the educators bring real heart and vision to everything they do.

Another important point for us was language. At Happy Dom, children learn both Spanish and English with native speakers, which is a huge advantage. Our son comes home excited about new words, using them in conversation. We’ve seen his confidence grow naturally — he’s beginning to speak more freely and fluently. For him, this multilingual environment isn’t a challenge — it’s a joyful adventure.

We’re especially grateful for the food at Happy Dom. This was a key concern for us, since our son is quite picky and meals can be a struggle. Here, the food is lovingly prepared, familiar to children from Russian-speaking households, and never stressful. For a child adjusting to life in a new country, that kind of comfort matters. And for us, as parents, it brings real peace of mind.

We also want to express our deep appreciation for the team. The educators are all incredibly kind, attentive, and professional. They easily connect with each child, they’re respectful, responsive, and always open to dialogue. For us, our child’s emotional comfort is a top priority, and the staff’s willingness to communicate and gently solve challenges means a great deal. We see clearly that our son isn’t just “spending time” at preschool — he’s growing, developing, and becoming more and more independent. He’s learning to connect, negotiate, express himself, and build friendships. He’s confident, curious, and genuinely happy in this environment.

Happy Dom has become a place where he grows in harmony — with his mind, his heart, his creativity, and his languages. We’re deeply grateful for the way the educators guide him — gently and professionally — along this path.

Story 2. «The best decision for our whole family»

Our son came to Happy Dom when he was 5 and a half. Before that, he had attended a Spanish preschool — but many things there just didn’t feel right for us. I was looking for a place where my child could be surrounded by his native language, a familiar atmosphere, and genuine warmth. Someone in a Telegram chat recommended Happy Dom — and after our very first visit, I had no doubts. We loved everything about it. I was honestly amazed that a place like this existed in Spain: a center where children are spoken to in their home language and where our traditions are honored and respected.

From the very first day, my son was happy to go. In contrast, taking him to the Spanish preschool always meant tears and protests. At Happy Dom, he wakes up smiling, ready to go.

The meals have been a huge plus — the food is delicious, high-quality, and homemade, just the way our kids are used to. For us, this was a big deal.

Every day, the activities are varied and exciting — our son is always engaged, full of inspiration, and eager to tell us what he learned and experienced.

What we love most is that the children go on walks in beautiful, enriching places — eucalyptus park or down by the sea. It’s not just lovely — it’s genuinely good for their health and wellbeing.

We’re especially grateful to the educators. They are kind, attentive, knowledgeable, and truly caring. And a heartfelt thank-you to Olga — for creating such a warm, thoughtful, and professionally run space for our children. Because of her, this is more than a kindergarten — it’s a place of real emotional support.

In my opinion, it’s the best preschool on the entire coast.

Story 3. «We didn’t just find a preschool — we found a second home»

When we first came to Happy Dom, our son was just over three years old. Our previous experience in a Spanish public preschool had been challenging for all of us. But now, just a year later, we see a curious, confident child who runs to his group with joy, dances, sings, expresses himself in Russian, Spanish, and English, and actively explores the world — and he does it all with genuine happiness.

We feel deeply aligned with the center’s approach: respect for the individual traits of each child, gentle adaptation, and careful attention to detail — from emotional well-being to fine motor skills. Our child isn’t shaped to fit a group or a teacher’s style — instead, the environment and educators adapt to him, his rhythm, needs, and inner world. This flexibility gives us a sense of true comfort, safety, and belonging — like a real 'second home'.

We’re always well informed about the curriculum, which includes a wide range of activities: chess, art, handwork, music, rhythm, speech development, and more. Every day includes walks through beautiful areas in Albir, freshly prepared hot meals, nap time, and regular photo and video updates from the educators — helping us stay connected to our child’s daily life.

With deep gratitude, we watch how Happy Dom is helping our son grow not just intellectually, but emotionally. This is an experience that will truly stay with us for a lifetime.

«We are a multilingual children’s center where learning is built on trust, calm, and respect for each child’s inner world. Children learn English and Spanish in small groups, in a lively and natural way. We never forbid the use of their native language — on the contrary, it helps them transition into a new language environment more smoothly and gently.

Our team includes Ukrainian-, Russian-, Spanish-, and English-speaking specialists and therapists, all with experience supporting children on the autism spectrum. This allows us to tailor education and support to the emotional and linguistic needs of every child.

We don’t work for speed or surface-level results. We create a setting where learning grows sustainably, mindfully, and without stress.»
