The Jerónimos Monastery, declared a national historic-artistic monument in 1881, is headquarters of the UCAM, and in the past it housed the Order of Saint Jerome and the Society of Jesus. The building has more than 270 years of history and it was widely restored in 1996. The classrooms, libraries, laboratories and other services, as well as gardens and parks are located in its surroundings.

The UCAM offers a wide range of international research chairs, covering fields of multidisciplinary studies such as health, nutrition, art or sport, among many others.

Since its inception, the University has followed its primary objective, the quality applied to a purpose: to provide students a high level of preparation through the transmission of knowledge with scientific rigor, the contribution of experiences and skills that enables the student to apply that knowledge in professional life, as well as the consideration in the light of the Gospel of the ethical values that give meaning to human activity.

The UCAM has developed a quality management system applied to the teaching, research and services that both guarantees the excellence of professional work and an improvement of human relations between all members of the university community in order to make research and educational work more effective and deep.

“My name is Tomiris, and I’m from Kazakhstan. I have studied the MBA program at the UCAM, that is why I can certainly say that I was not wrong when I chose this university, and this programme.

The UCAM is located in Murcia, one of the most beautiful cities of Spain, which has a great history. The university complex is huge and equipped with everything you need both to study, and to enjoy student life.

I’d like to talk more in details about the benefits of the MBA programme:

First, teachers of high level: in our case, we have had a number of professors, and each of them has made its particular contribution in our learning. They were all different: academicians, senior management representatives from important Spanish and foreign companies. The experience they have transmitted us is, without a doubt, priceless.

Second, a forked curriculum: the course included between 7 and 8 blocks of fundamental subjects covering basic aspects and the most important aspects in economics, finance, corporate management and business. It was very interesting to observe how the theory could be applied to practice and, more important, all of this taking into account the particularities of the business in Europe.

Third, the valuation system: it has really been appreciated the fact that the evaluation was based on interaction and the diversity of activities. It consisted in the realization of individual and group written tests and projects, presentations and discussions. The heterogeneity of the activities made the process of learning much more motivational.

Along with theoretical subjects, practices were scheduled at one of the local companies, which helped develop the skills acquired during the course, as well as to improve the knowledge of the language.

Finally, and more important, tutelage in the final work: each student had a tutor who helped with ideas, tips and guiding throughout the process. Personally, I’m delighted with my tutor, and I’m also sure that I have been able to get “outstanding” in the defense of my work thanks to our good cooperation.

In general, I’m very happy of my stay in Spain: starting from the charm of the city and the kindness of the people to the professionalism of my teachers and my record results. I’m sure that the knowledge and experience I have gained will help me in my career.”
